Dear Valued Clients,
In 2013 we left our broker/dealer in search of a better value for our clients. We found a great custodial partner in TD Ameritrade Institutional that has benefited our clients with greater efficiency at lower costs.
Increasingly, the custodial business has become a matter of scale. Last year, TD Ameritrade concluded its acquisition of Scottrade. Earlier last week, Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade reached an agreement for Schwab to acquire TD Ameritrade. We expect the regulatory approval process to take somewhere between 6-10 months. Rest assured that during this time there will be no difference in how you work or interact with Integrity Wealth Partners.
With the release of this announcement, we at Integrity Wealth Partners, in our capacity as your fiduciary, will continue to evaluate the custodial options that serve the best interests of our clients. With this in mind, we will also be meeting with other industry-leading custodians to evaluate trading capabilities, technology platforms, pricing, and service levels on your behalf.
Schwab is certainly an industry leader. Though we expect Schwab may be the best choice in custodian for our clients, it is our duty to make this determination only after an exhaustive due-diligence process.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Additionally, more information on the acquisition can be found in TD Ameritrade’s press release (https://www.amtd.com/news-and-stories/press-releases/press-release-details/2019/acquisition-information-center/default.aspx).
